The Patimban access toll road project, as part of Indonesia National Strategic Plan, will enhance economic activity in the region connecting the Patiman Port in construction and Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road, improving the connectivity and promoting the economic development of the region, expecting an economic growth of 4%, as well as the creation of millions of jobs in the next decade.
The project located in Subang Regency, West Java province is deployed in its work package 3, which will have a pavement length of more than 4 kilometres. Sarens has put all its expertise at the service of this project, providing cranes suited to the size and scope of this project, including a rough terrain crane.
The new Patimban Access Toll Road will be crucial in the expansion and growth of East Jakarta, facilitating the logistical flow and freight transport in the region. The toll road will connect Patimban Port, which connects to Pantura Road, with the Cikopo-Palimanan section of the Trans-Java toll road. The toll road is expected to boost export activity in the industrial estates around Cikarang-Cibitung-Karawang and improve development in and around Subang regency. This new infrastructure will entail economic growth over 4% of GDP for this area, as well as the generation of millions of jobs in the next decade.
Sarens, world leader in heavy lifting, engineered transport and crane rental services, is carrying out heavy lifting work for its customer PT. Hutama Karya. For this, Sarens has put all its knowledge and know-how in this paramount project for the development of the region, participating in lifting construction material, spun piles as well as H-beams for the construction of this project.
To make this lifting, Sarens has made use of rough terrain crane Terex A600, capable of lifting up to 60 tons, and also made use of Zoomlion Zcc550 cap, capable of lifting up to 55 tons. This machinery was carefully selected due to its main aspect of easiness to mobilize between laydowns. The equipment was thoroughly transported from Cilegon yard to the construction site, taking one entire day to complete this task. The main difficulties encountered by Saren's team were due to weather and climatic conditions, as well as the access to the laydown.
Saren's team conducted a preliminary study to adapt their work to the project's safety requirements, avoiding potential setbacks that could have jeopardized the project financially. Thus, ensuring the highest levels of quality in their work, always being responsive and effective in a smooth manner, ensuring that any type of incident is addressed without delay, resulting in a delivered job in a timely manner.
Sarens has extensive experience in the region with major projects such as the Balikpapan port in infrastructure expansion works on behalf of Pt. BMKU Tripatra Interport in Indonesia. The project consisted of the installation of a 103-ton deodorizer unit that will improve air quality in the port area. Another example of consolidation of great infrastructure that has an impact in the Malaysian local economy was the installation of a cooling tower for the GDS data center in Johor Baru using its machinery to lift and place the steel structure for its base, as well as the various cooling units, weighing approximately 9.5 tons, 36 meters high and with a diameter of 40 meters.
