For a small project on the water in Sarnia, Sarens put its state-of-the-art machinery, such as the LTM 1250 6.1 crane, at the service of this enterprise, with the transport of large barges near St. Clair River.
Sarens, world leader in heavy lifting, engineered transport and crane rental services, has established itself in recent years as one of the main agents in Canada. Recently, the company has been in charge of lifting large barges out of the St. Clair River, at Purdy’s Fish Market with an LTM 1250 6.1 All Terrain Crane.
For this project, the configuration was base load and running on main boom, braving cold temperatures, heavy rains and even a completely frozen ground. With a load measuring 3 meters by 12 meters, almost two meters high, and a weight of over 15 tons, Sarens’ team took special care not to interfere with power lines used for air traffic as well as taking special care not to transport or set up the machinery too close to the shore. Saren's team also had to supply trucks used for transporting these barges from the River’s edge and back to Toronto.
Sarens already owns extensive experience in Canada, thanks to the broad expertise of its team, its in-depth knowledge of the sector and its extensive portfolio of cranes and modular transports, with multiple projects to its credit. From collaborating on The new Polaris CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) Project, launched by Shell in Alberta, Canada, a major step forward for the region's industry, Moreover, Sarens was able to contribute to the renovation of Union Station, where the team carried out the lifting and subsequent installation of several 9.4-ton iron girders for the flying garden connecting the station's north and south towers.
