Sarens has just opened a new branch in Beaumont, Texas, to provide the Texas Oil&Gas sector with its international experience in the creation of new infrastructure in the region, as well as in the corrective and predictive maintenance of existing infrastructure, in order to continue to boost employment in the region.
The Oil & Gas extraction and processing industry in Texas continues its post-pandemic positive trend and has already recovered approximately 57,000 jobs from the 83,000 that were destroyed during 2020 -35% of the total- according to data from the 2023 Gulf Coast Energy Outlook prepared by Louisiana State University.
In this context, in which the economic reactivation of the region is beginning to be reflected in employment and the number of active projects throughout the state of Texas (160,103 oil wells and 87,153 gas wells at the end of February, according to data from the Railroad Commission of Texas -RRC-) both, public administrations and private entities, need the support and advice of companies such as Sarens, which, with experience in hundreds of major projects around the world, can help in the correct choice of the machinery needed for each project, as well as in the logistical tasks of transporting the necessary infrastructures, and in the predictive and corrective maintenance of existing installations.
In order to facilitate a closer and more direct contact with companies and public institutions that need specialized services for the Oil&Gas sector, or for the industrial sector in general, Sarens has opened a new branch in Beaumont, Texas. In these new facilities, the company will offer full crane and rigging services, engineering and transportation. Sarens already has available equipment on site such as hydraulic cranes, crawler cranes or SPMTs.
With this new strategic move, Sarens reaffirms its commitment to the development of the Oil&Gas production and processing industry in Texas particularly and in the USA in general. For years, Sarens has led various projects aimed at strengthening the oil sector in the USA. An example of this is the construction and improvement work carried out at the Corpus Christi refinery (Texas), carried out together with Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR). In this project Sarens used a variety of its largest capacity cranes, like Liebherr LR1350S 385 tons crawler cranes transported from Australia, to lift and position the two hydrocracker reactors from the plant and 58 modules, essential to the operation of the plant.
